Here they are, ready to give vthose doughboys a little more resistance than they would have wanted...
Here are some of the mighty steeds that will be towing some my artillery on the eastern and western front of Europe since they were never used on the African front.
They still need a wash and dusting, but besides that their pretty much done.
At the same time, I couldn't help but repaint my Italian 90/53 AA/AT gun and crew. I don't know why, but lately I've really been loving the look and feal of the Italian campaign in North Africa. More Italians soon, maybe...
Thanks for reading this, I really appreciate you guys viewing and liking these, it always makes me very proud and glad that I post my work here.

I must say those Zvezda recon bods do look nice, I wouldnt mind some of them.
ReplyDeleteMy biggest gripe with the Revell German artillery is the gun moulded with the trails closed, which I see you have solved (you'd think even in soft plastic it wouldn't have been hard to allow them to be open or closed on both guns). I also found the very nice crew figures to be rather tall but they seem to look good posed on their own.
Cheers, Dave
The best part about the zvezda kits is that they're small, deatiled and partly affordable.
DeleteYes, my folded gun "conversion" worked, but definetly isn't "Diorama friendly". I love the crew figures, even if they're a little on the tall side, wonderful and different poses.
Thanks!

What do you use to stick your horses to the bottle caps? I am using blue tac, and I find it annoying.

DeleteSorry James, just saw your comment.
DeleteI use a Hot Glue gun (as I do with the regular infantry). You can find one at any Craft or Hardware store (We have Canadian Tire, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.)
Thanks!
