Plastic Soldier Company M4A1 Sherman (Us Army in North Africa and Italy)

Well I'm finally doing it, posting the Shermans I've been rambling on about all this time. These very well might be my favorite models that I have ever built.

The decals were extras from the Italeri Fast-build M4A3's.

The extra stowage is a mix of scrath-built and kit-supplied goodies. (From various kits.)

I'm very happy with how they came out, and am very much looking forward to getting another box for my 8th Army.

Comments and criticisms welcome!

Thank you for reading, and coming up next is my Airfix/Italeri 88mm Tow.

  1. They look fantastic, much better than the Armourfast ones I have. But they remind me I really should get on with my PSC panzer IVs! My only suggestion for any more would be to put more of the stowage on the back deck rather than the rear, just based on old photos, but it really adds something to them regardless!

    1. Your right,I should have put them on the deck rather than the back. But the little shelves that came with them distracted me and had to be used.

      Thanks Alan!

    1. Thanks Greg! As I have probably mentioned here before, all I do is give them a wash of oil brown enamel mixed with paint thinner, and then use some of Tamiya's Master Modeller Powders.

  3. As I may have previously remarked here(?) and elswhere, this is one of my least favourite PSC offerings, being hugely overscale and in other respects one of their most inaccurate kits (which is saying something). However, I like what you have done with them and guess they will look ok size-wise in their own unit.

    Cheers, Dave

    1. They are way over-sized compared to the Airfix, but I like them that way, I find they feel a little stronger that way, even if it's inaccurate (just a personal preference).

      Thanks Dave!
